Ducati Diavel Service Manual: Removal of the front forks
Before removing the front forks, it is first necessary to remove the
following parts: 
Loosen the clamp screws (1) holding the fork legs to the steering head (3).
Loosen the clamp screws (2) and (26) securing the fork legs to the bottom yoke (4).
Withdraw the fork legs (5) and (6) downwards in order to carry out to all the necessary overhaul operations.

Overhauling the front forks
Note
It is advisable to loosen the top cap (14) when the fork is still fitted
to the motorcycle.

Refitting the cylinder heads pulleys/fixed tensioners
Check that the keyway on the end of the camshaft is in good condition and
without burrs.
Fit a woodruff key (b) in the keyway of each camshaft.
Fit the pulley (11) on the camshaft, inserting the woodruff key in the in the

Start the engine;
Switch on the dds and check that it does not signal any error (otherwise
